Last seen getting off a bus in Orlando
Gabrielle Terrelonge, 10, was last confirmed seen on June 30, 2025, getting off a Greyhound bus at the Florida Mall in Orlando with her mother, Passha Davis. Margate police Maj. Al Banatte told CNN that a witness on the bus saw them arrive at the Florida Mall, and “the manifest and tickets also corroborate this information.” The bus had traveled from Broward County to Orlando. One week later, on July 7, 2025, Davis was seen at the same Florida Mall bus stop getting on a bus by herself, WFTV reported.
An earlier sighting sometimes causes confusion in alerts shared online. On June 21, 2025, Gabrielle and her mother were seen together at a Walmart in Hollywood, Florida, where the initial Missing Child Alert described Gabrielle wearing a white T-shirt, long black pants and white Crocs. That Hollywood sighting came first. The June 30 bus arrival in Orlando — corroborated by the ticket manifest and a witness, according to Margate police — is the last confirmed sighting of Gabrielle.
Four months before anyone knew she was missing
Gabrielle’s disappearance was not discovered until late October 2025. Her father, Gordon Terrelonge, told CNN he lost touch with Gabrielle and her mother in the spring of 2025 after a dispute with Davis in Kissimmee, Florida, but expected the family would reunite, as it had after earlier separations. In late October, he found online jail records showing Davis had been arrested in Margate, and he contacted Margate police to ask who was caring for Gabrielle. “My life has been hell,” he told CNN. “This is the longest I’ve gone without seeing her.”
Davis had been arrested on October 17, 2025, in Margate after being accused of shoplifting at a Dollar Tree. The store declined to prosecute; police records show she was arrested on charges of resisting an officer without violence and providing false identification. Gabrielle was not with her. The father’s call sparked the investigation, and Gabrielle was reported missing on October 29, 2025. The FBI’s Miami Field Office and the Margate Police Department issued a missing-child listing that day, noting that the family has ties to South and Central Florida and may be homeless, and asking for any information about Gabrielle’s current location or condition.
Police questioned Davis in jail on October 31, 2025. According to the arrest affidavit reported by CNN, Davis told police she did not know where her daughter was and “that she should be with her father.” Margate police say the father last saw Gabrielle in Kissimmee in April 2025 — when investigators believe Davis left that city with the child — and that he is cooperating with the investigation. Davis was re-arrested on November 4, 2025, and charged with child neglect without great bodily harm, accused of failing to provide any reasonable explanation of her minor child’s whereabouts. She was held on a $100,000 bond, and her defense attorney told a judge she maintained her innocence of the charges. By the time of Local 10 News’ July 2026 update, the charges reported against Davis also included concealing the location of a minor and providing false information to law enforcement.
A childhood in motion
Police and court records reported by CNN describe an unstable living situation in the year before Gabrielle disappeared. She was last enrolled in school in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where she and her mother lived with Gabrielle’s paternal aunt from April 2024 to November 2024. After Thanksgiving 2024 they left the aunt’s house for a Motel 6. In March 2025, mother and daughter were found sleeping in a car in Broward County; the Florida Department of Children and Families intervened and helped them travel to Orlando. Between mid-March and April 2025 they were with Gabrielle’s father in the Orlando and Kissimmee areas, before the April dispute after which he never saw Gabrielle again. Police said in the November 2025 arrest affidavit that Davis was homeless and had mental illness and substance abuse issues.
Her father described Gabrielle to CNN as a joyful child who is adventurous and loves nature, coloring, wearing princess costumes and having tea parties. Her paternal grandmother, Jonett Vassel, told CNN she was hanging flyers with Gabrielle’s picture in Orlando: “I cannot sleep, I cannot eat, I’m fasting, I’m praying. I’m still trusting God, because I’m a Christian, so I’m trusting that he will bring her home.”
The search, and a father still looking
Broward Crime Stoppers offered a reward for information in the case, raised from $5,000 to $10,000 in November 2025. Her father traveled to Orlando and visited the Florida Mall area, Gabrielle’s last known location, pleading publicly for information: “I beg; I’m begging from the bottom of my heart. I just want to find my daughter, I just want her to come home.”
The case remains an active investigation more than a year later. On July 7, 2026, Local 10 News reported that Gabrielle’s father was still searching for his daughter, and that investigators from the Margate Police Department, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI were working on the case. The report said investigators had conducted another search in Central Florida with cadaver dogs several weeks earlier. No confirmed sighting of Gabrielle after June 30, 2025, has been made public.
What is not known
Investigators have not publicly established where Gabrielle went after arriving at the Florida Mall on June 30, 2025, who she was with after that day, or where she is now. Her mother has not provided investigators with an account of Gabrielle’s whereabouts that police have been able to corroborate, according to the arrest affidavit and court reporting. Beyond the father’s account and the police record summarized above, the public record does not say what happened to Gabrielle. We report what officials have said and do not speculate about her outcome.
